Engineer Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Real Estate Finance Support Fund, spoke about the newly launched housing initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 7,” which was recently introduced through the Digital Egypt platform. This initiative aims to simplify the application process and expand benefits to low- and middle-income segments.
She expressed pride in the significant role played by the Ministry of Housing and the Social Housing Fund in providing suitable housing units, especially for low- and middle-income citizens who have long struggled to secure homes that meet their needs. She emphasized that the state has taken on burdens greater than those borne by many other countries to ensure every citizen has access to adequate housing.
Abdel Hamid explained that the seventh announcement under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative targets two primary segments. First, low-income households, where the maximum monthly income for a family is EGP 15,000 and for single individuals is EGP 12,000. Second, middle-income groups, where the maximum monthly income is EGP 25,000 for families and EGP 20,000 for individuals.
She added that the application process is now fully digital via the Digital Egypt platform, which offers a range of government services. The platform allows for easy registration by creating a personal account and ensures transparency by verifying applicants’ data using their registered phone numbers. This helps minimize the chances of fraud or manipulation.
