Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing Fund, stated that the Judicial Seizure Committee visited 336 housing units in Badr City to identify violations of the Social Housing Law and ensure that subsidies reach eligible beneficiaries. She emphasized that the state invests billions of pounds in social housing projects and verifies applicants’ eligibility. She also noted that trading or renting subsidized units is strictly prohibited, and beneficiaries must sign a declaration confirming compliance. The Judicial Seizure Committee can monitor beneficiaries and take legal action against violators, including unit withdrawal.
Engineer Mohamed Abdel Aziz Amer confirmed that the Badr City Authority is cooperating with the Judicial Seizure Committee of the Social Housing Fund to prevent the illegal exploitation of subsidized units. He stressed that leniency in handling violations could threaten the sustainability of social housing projects and negatively impact those entitled to support. He urged beneficiaries to adhere to regulations and report violations, affirming that the authority will take strict measures against offenders.
