Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf, Head of the New Suez City Authority, received Osama Abu El-Magd, Head of the Central Administration for Free Zones in Suez, to discuss the activation of a joint cooperation protocol and to strengthen efforts aimed at developing the Ataqa Free Zone for investment.
The meeting included a discussion on ways to improve the infrastructure within the free zone, covering areas such as road paving, landscaping, and upgrades to the water and sewage networks. Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf emphasized that supporting investment in the free zones of New Suez is a top priority, especially given the city’s uniquely strategic location that links it to the Suez Canal Corridor.
Both parties agreed during the meeting to enhance joint cooperation and adopt innovative solutions to build a robust infrastructure that supports development plans and attracts more high-quality investments.
New Suez City is considered one of the most promising developmental cities in the Suez Canal region, distinguished by its diverse industrial, commercial, tourism, and residential activities. It is also home to the Ataqa Free Zone and the Adabiya Free Zone.
In this context, Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf conducted an inspection tour of the Ataqa Free Zone, where she monitored beautification, cleaning, and waste removal efforts. She also reviewed ongoing development initiatives in the area and listened to several observations and requests aimed at improving the working environment within the Ataqa Free Zone.
