The Housing Authority of October Gardens City has issued an urgent notice to citizens who were allocated residential units within the social housing projects in the city and contracted between 2017 and 2022. The authority called on them to promptly visit the Technology Center at the city’s headquarters to complete contract procedures related to infrastructure services and receive their units. The deadline for this process is September 30, in line with instructions from the General Department of Allocation and Contracts as well as the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund.
With regard to the Sakan Misr apartments, the New Urban Communities Authority and the Housing and Development Bank announced the resumption of the online booking system for apartments instead of the previously declared manual public lottery. This decision came in response to the requests of applicants seeking to reserve units under the authority.
The Ministry also outlined the conditions that could lead to the cancellation of Sakan Misr unit allocations, which include:

Failure to comply with building regulations or transferring the unit without prior approval from the authority.

Violations of booking terms or breaches of the conditions booklet.

Failure to complete the required 20% down payment or pay the first two installments.

Changing the intended purpose for which the unit was allocated.

Failure to sign contracts or receive the unit within the designated deadlines.
As for the eligibility requirements for applying for units, they were specified as follows:

Applicants must be Egyptian citizens, natural persons (not legal entities), and at least 21 years old at the time of application.

A family (husband and wife) is not allowed to book more than one unit in the same project, though they may book up to two units in different projects within the same offering.

By paying the booking deposit, the applicant is deemed to have accepted all conditions stated in the announcement and in the conditions booklet.
The Ministry further announced the offering of 35,088 apartments in cooperation with the Housing and Development Bank, across several projects including:

“Diarna” apartments in a number of new cities.

“Jenna Misr” and “Sakan Misr” apartments in New Mansoura.

“Bashayer” and “Ahalina” projects.
In addition, the Ministry is currently working on launching around 400,000 new housing units as part of the country’s largest plan of its kind, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to provide suitable housing for all income groups. This step reflects the state’s vision to secure adequate housing for every citizen.
