The Ministry of Housing has officially handed over the Family Health Unit building located in the West El-Matar (West of the Airport) area of New October City to a committee from the Giza Health Directorate, as part of the ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Health in preparation for the unit’s upcoming operation.
Housing Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny confirmed that efforts are being intensified to complete and deliver public service buildings in new cities to the relevant authorities. This is part of a broader strategy to support urban development and provide integrated services that meet the needs of citizens.
The West El-Matar area includes a variety of operational service facilities, including educational, healthcare, security, recreational buildings, and marketplaces.
Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Authority, noted that the handover took place in the presence of the authority’s two deputy heads. The committee praised the quality of the finishing work. The city authority has completed four healthcare units, two nurseries, and two basic education schools, and work is ongoing to finalize and furnish the remaining facilities before handing them over to the relevant ministries.
