Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the extension of the booking period for residential units in the first phase of the largest offering of housing units, which includes a number of cities and governorates. This extension comes in cooperation between the New Urban Communities Authority and the Housing and Development Bank. The application period will now continue for one additional month, starting from the end date of the originally specified application and deposit period, according to the announcement published on April 13, 2025.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny also noted the increase in the number of units available for booking in the first phase of the “Diarna” project, with 364 units allocated in New Alamein City, 364 units in New October City, and 312 units in New Suez City.
He further announced the offering of 261,253 housing units in several governorates and new cities, in cooperation with the Housing and Development Bank, over five phases from April 15, 2025, to April 15, 2026. This offering comes in response to customer demand and in accordance with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to provide suitable housing for various income groups. He added that the first phase includes 35,088 housing units, available through the official website of the Housing and Development Bank.
