The Urban Development Fund has decided to extend the application period for qualification document submissions until June 30, in response to requests from companies and consortiums. Companies must submit the documents in a sealed envelope clearly marked with “Qualification Submission Documents for the Project of Rehabilitation, Management, Operation, and Maintenance of Al-Fustat Hills Park,” along with one original copy, two photocopies, and an electronic copy in PDF format.
Engineer Khaled Siddiq, Chairman of the Urban Development Fund, announced an invitation for Egyptian and international companies to prequalify for the rehabilitation and management project of Al-Fustat Hills Park, which spans an area of 403 feddans, making it one of the largest parks in the Middle East. The project includes investment areas featuring entertainment zones, cinemas, a commercial area, and various facilities such as restaurants, gardens, celebration squares, an arena with a capacity of 10,000 people, hotels, and serviced apartments.
The Chairman of the Fund called on Egyptian and international companies and consortiums to contract for the rehabilitation and management of Al-Fustat Hills Park, provided they have prior experience in managing cultural, commercial, and entertainment projects. Companies must demonstrate competencies and capabilities that meet international quality standards. The qualification process will be based on the companies’ ability to execute such projects, including their past experience and financial capacity. Engineer Khaled Siddiq also emphasized the importance of companies conducting a site visit and submitting an official letter addressed to the Fund.
The Chairman reaffirmed the requirement for companies or consortiums, whether Egyptian or international, to submit their qualification documents in a sealed envelope clearly labeled with “Qualification Submission Documents for the Project of Rehabilitation, Management, Operation, and Maintenance of Al-Fustat Hills Park.” The documents must include the original, two photocopies, and a digital PDF version, and must be sent to the Urban Development Fund no later than June 4 at 3:00 PM. The documents will be evaluated according to Egyptian laws, and a shortlist of qualified companies will be prepared to proceed with the bidding and awarding process.
