Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, inaugurated the sixth edition of the Egyptian Facilities and Asset Management Forum (EFMF 2025) under the theme “Maximizing Asset Value Towards a More Sustainable Future.” The forum witnessed the participation of various ministry departments as well as local and international companies. It aimed to promote collaboration within the industry and ensure the preservation of assets. During the event, the Deputy Minister toured the exhibition booths to review the latest technologies in asset and facility management.
Dr. Ismail emphasized the Ministry of Housing’s commitment to supporting local products and localizing the industry of electromechanical systems and smart technologies. He also stressed the importance of expanding global partnerships and establishing new factories. This initiative aims to open new markets in Egypt and promote exports to Africa and the Gulf region at competitive prices.
The Deputy Minister also toured booths of companies specialized in potable water and wastewater services. He reviewed control and monitoring systems designed to improve service quality and safeguard water infrastructure.
In discussions with participating companies, Dr. Ismail explored modern systems for sustainable facility management aimed at reducing pollution and carbon emissions. He also addressed water safety and desalination strategies. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of keeping pace with technological advancements and supporting continuous development. He encouraged the review of new research to enhance the efficiency of water and wastewater treatment plants and urged greater private sector involvement in the management of these vital projects.
