Major General Pilot Akram Mohamed Galal, Governor of Ismailia, received Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, in his office during the minister’s visit to the governorate to discuss cooperation files and joint work between the two sides. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Housing and its affiliated entities.
Minister Sherif El-Sherbini expressed his gratitude for the warm reception from the governor, extending his thanks for the ongoing coordination regarding the ministry’s duties. He explained that his visit aimed to follow up and coordinate joint efforts between the ministry and the governorate on several vital files, such as housing projects and the drinking water and sanitation system. He also emphasized his keenness to provide all forms of support to the people of Ismailia and to meet their needs in a way that enhances their well-being.
For his part, the Governor of Ismailia welcomed the minister’s visit, praising the state’s interest in the governorate. He pointed out that priority files were raised, most notably drinking water, sanitation, and social housing projects, in order to address the obstacles facing some of them, with the goal of achieving tangible improvements that directly meet citizens’ needs.
The governor also noted that the ongoing cooperation between the ministry and the governorate results in concrete, tangible steps on the ground, highlighting the scale of efforts being made to improve services and provide an integrated environment worthy of the people of Ismailia across various sectors. This, he stressed, embodies the vision of the political leadership in enhancing living standards and the services provided.
The meeting concluded with directives from Minister Sherif El-Sherbini on the importance of maintaining coordination between the ministry and the governorate regarding water, sanitation, and housing projects in Ismailia. He also stressed the need to overcome obstacles hindering their implementation and called for preparing a list of future needs to launch new projects that meet the residents’ requirements and keep pace with their growing demands.
