The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities in Egypt has announced a two-month extension for the receipt of small residential land parcels, excluding “Build Your Home” plots. This extension also applies to the “Home Nation” project designated for Egyptians abroad, specifically for land parcels that were canceled due to non-receipt.
In an official statement, the ministry outlined specific conditions for this extension. The execution period will commence from the date the land is ready for receipt, and the land must be unoccupied, not reallocated, or designated for others. Additionally, applicants must withdraw any legal cases filed against the authority or the city administration related to the land and settle any outstanding payments on the parcel, which will incur charges from the date they were due until the payment date. Notably, payments must be settled by the designated receipt date.
The ministry clarified that these concessions do not result in any deferment of installments. Furthermore, the extensions do not apply to small residential plots that have been re-evaluated at current prices and have already been paid for. The extensions also exclude “Build Your Home” plots, and it is a prerequisite that no refunds have been processed for any amounts paid towards the land.
