Egypt’s Housing Minister Visits “Al-Fursan” Project in Riyadh, Explores Potential for Egyptian Contractors in Saudi Development

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, visited the “Al-Fursan” project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which is being developed by the National Housing Services Company (NHSC) with participation from Egypt’s Talaat Moustafa Group. During his visit, Minister El-Sherbiny received a comprehensive briefing on the project’s progress and discussed potential collaborations.

El-Sherbiny explored the possibility of involving Egyptian construction firms in Saudi Arabia’s ongoing development initiatives. Highlighting Egypt’s extensive expertise in urban development, he proposed that Egyptian contractors could contribute significantly to Saudi projects, aligning with Egypt’s goal to share its urbanization experience with Saudi partners.

Representatives from NHSC shared insights into the company’s mission. Founded in 2017, NHSC aims to support Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing by executing projects that boost efficiency, accelerate project timelines, and foster investment growth in the Kingdom’s housing sector.
