Egypt to Launch Online Building Permit Application Service for New Cities

On Tuesday, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that starting from January 1, 2025, the service for receiving building permit applications in new cities will be available online. The initiative aims to simplify the process for citizens and investors in these areas.

El-Sherbiny explained that applicants will be able to submit their requests, upload the required drawings and documents, and pay fees through the official website of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) at https://nuca-services.gov.eg/, eliminating the need to visit customer service centers in the new cities.

He also directed the New Urban Communities Authority and city officials to facilitate the submission of services for both citizens and investors and to enhance the overall quality of services provided. This online building permit application system is part of the Ministry of Housing’s efforts to align with the state’s digital transformation strategy.
