In a significant announcement for citizens, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, revealed the largest residential land offering in Egypt’s new cities. The initiative includes 8,521 residential plots in various housing categories—medium, distinguished, and highly distinguished—across 20 new cities. The cities involved are: West Qena, New Assiut, Sadat City, Badr, New Beni Suef, October Gardens, New Tiba, New Minya, New Borg Al Arab, New Akhmim, New Sohag, New Qena, New Fayoum, New Nasser, New Aswan, New Mallawi, 10th of Ramadan, 6th of October, New Shorouk, and New Obour.
Minister El-Sherbiny stated that in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority, is expanding the offering of residential land in various categories to meet the increasing demand in new cities. This effort aims to accelerate development and fulfill the citizens’ aspirations to build their own homes in accordance with the stipulated regulations.
In this context, Dr. Hassan Al-Shourbagy, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, detailed the allocation of medium housing plots, which will include 3,678 plots distributed as follows: 223 plots in West Qena, 31 plots in New Assiut, 1,270 plots in Sadat City, 60 plots in Badr, 150 plots in New Beni Suef, 122 plots in October Gardens, 204 plots in New Tiba, 495 plots in New Minya, and 1,123 plots in New Borg Al Arab.
Additionally, for the distinguished housing category, 4,747 plots will be available, with allocations of 159 plots in New Akhmim, 129 plots in New Sohag, 149 plots in New Qena, 66 plots in New Fayoum, 417 plots in New Nasser, 298 plots in New Aswan, 321 plots in New Mallawi, 1,270 plots in the 10th of Ramadan, and 1,938 plots in Sadat City.
Furthermore, the most distinguished housing category will offer 96 plots, including 87 plots in 6th of October City, 7 plots in New Shorouk, and 2 plots in New Obour.
El-Shourbagy noted that the terms of the offering, registration procedures, locations, sizes, prices, payment methods, and terms of reference will be available on the “Masaken” website under the land section at www.reserve.newcities.gov.eg from November 7, 2024, to January 5, 2025. The date and location for the public lottery among applicants will be announced later.
