Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, met with Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, to discuss drinking water and sanitation projects within the “Decent Life” initiative aimed at developing rural villages in Egypt. The meeting was attended by representatives from the organization, factory heads, and officials from the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation. Ismail emphasized the importance of expediting the completion of the first phase of the initiative and overcoming any obstacles, given its positive impact on citizens’ quality of life.
The Deputy Minister of Housing praised the coordination between the Ministry of Housing and the Arab Organization for Industrialization in supporting the localization of industries and local products in drinking water and sanitation projects. Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Organization, highlighted the significance of ongoing cooperation with the ministry and enhancing research and development to meet the current urban development needs of the country.
Dr. Sayed Ismail discussed with attendees the details of drinking water and sanitation projects in the first phase, stressing the importance of completing the work within the specified timelines and overcoming any challenges. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the necessity of continuous field monitoring of projects and submitting weekly reports to review progress in relevant meetings.
