Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, followed up on the ongoing development works in El Shorouk, New Damietta, Badr, and New Sohag cities. These projects include improvements to sewage networks, roads, and green spaces. The Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to technical standards and accelerating work in priority areas. Additionally, Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadl announced a project to renew the aging sewage pipelines in El Shorouk City, aiming to enhance network efficiency and provide better services to citizens.
Engineer Ashraf Fathy, Head of the New Damietta City Development Authority, inspected the development works at the public beach area, which include improvements to restrooms, service kiosks, and car parking areas. He stressed the need for rapid completion of the works, including paving and landscaping, to provide high-quality services during the summer season.
Engineer Mohamed Abdelaziz, Head of the Badr City Authority, inspected the development of the Robiki Road, a vital axis in the city. The project includes road widening, the construction of sidewalks, lighting installations, and landscaping, all aimed at improving traffic flow.
Engineer Sherif Abdel-Badea, Head of the New Sohag City Authority, monitored the surface asphalt layer project on the road leading to the industrial zone, which serves as the city’s secondary main entrance. The road supports the industrial zone and various residential areas and includes an electronic inspection station and a driving school project with a total cost of EGP 67 million. The project also covers the rehabilitation of the city’s southwestern entrance on the Cairo/Aswan road. The bonding layer of this road, implemented over 15 years ago, has deteriorated due to heavy traffic loads. The road is currently being rehabilitated as part of the internal road development project at a cost of EGP 42 million.
