The Urban Communities Authority of the Ministry of Housing is holding a public auction to sell 13 commercial shops and a pharmacy in 6th of October City, with areas ranging between 18 m² and 51 m², on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Engineer Abdelraouf El-Gheiti, Head of the New Cairo Development Authority, emphasized efforts to improve the Beit Al-Watan and Dar Misr projects, pointing out that all plots of land allocated for services have been sold to meet citizens’ needs. He also announced a plan to develop the main roads in Beit Al-Watan and the completion of the connecting roads to the central road, alongside the start of upgrading internal roads.
During his first meeting with the residents of Beit Al-Watan, Engineer Abdelraouf El-Gheiti listened to complaints related to utilities and infrastructure, affirming the availability of drinking water in all neighborhoods and the need for its continued supply. He directed intensified daily monitoring to ensure uninterrupted service.
Regarding electricity, all neighborhoods have been handed over to the Electricity Company except for two sectors in the fourth district, where work is still ongoing. He also assigned Engineer Hesham Mohamed Ali to expedite the lighting of the main streets. In his meeting with the residents of Dar Misr Compound, he addressed issues related to cleanliness and beautification and issued directives to intensify cleaning and planting activities to improve the urban appearance.
Engineer Abdelraouf El-Gheiti stressed the importance of regular direct meetings to communicate with citizens and respond to their demands, praising their interaction and suggestions. He also held a meeting with the deputies of the authority’s head to establish an executive vision for the upcoming phase, emphasizing institutional performance development and updating work mechanisms in line with digital transformation. He confirmed the necessity of raising employee efficiency, selecting the most competent for executive positions, and motivating them to enhance administrative and service performance to achieve community satisfaction.
