The tour included inspections of new drinking water facilities, such as the third phase of the Ezzab Water Station, the Qahafa Water Station, and the Qasr Al-Jabaly water booster station and reservoir.
El-Refaie emphasized the importance of overcoming challenges and expediting procedures to ensure these facilities are operational as soon as possible. He stressed that these projects are essential for improving citizens’ quality of life and delivering sustainable infrastructure under the “Decent Life” initiative.
He instructed contractors to increase specialized labor at project sites, synchronize civil and mechanical works, and adhere to occupational health and safety standards. He also highlighted the importance of initial trial operations to ensure the stations are fully operational before the summer, providing improved services to residents.
Key projects visited included:
- Qasr Al-Jabaly Booster Station and Reservoir: With a storage capacity of 3,000 cubic meters, this project aims to enhance water pressure in the villages of Yousef Al-Siddiq.
- Third Phase of Ezzab Water Station: Designed with a capacity of 120,000 cubic meters per day, it will improve water services and ensure continuous supply throughout the day.
- Qahafa Water Station: Part of the presidential initiative, it provides an additional 43,000 cubic meters of water daily to address population growth and urban expansion in Itsa and Yousef Al-Siddiq centers.
The projects are part of Egypt’s broader efforts to enhance infrastructure and provide sustainable services to rural areas under the “Decent Life” initiative.
