Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that 320 fully finished residential units will be handed over starting next Monday in the Second District Extension of Obour City. These units were previously reserved through a priority booking system managed by the Housing Finance Fund affiliated with the ministry, and the handover will follow the rules and schedule established by the fund.
In a statement released on Friday, the minister emphasized the importance of streamlining and organizing the handover process. He explained that this initiative reflects the directives of the political leadership, which aim to provide adequate housing for citizens. The project is part of an integrated urban development strategy designed to enhance living standards through financial and procedural solutions tailored to targeted segments, while focusing on sustainable development and quality of life.
In a related context, Engineer Hesham Darwish, Advisor to the Ministry, Supervisor of the Construction and Contracting Sector, and Chairman of the Housing Finance Fund, explained that the 320 units were sold according to pre-announced terms and conditions. While the original delivery date was scheduled for September 2025, intensive efforts to accelerate the work led to early completion of the project, allowing the delivery to be brought forward to begin on August 4 of this year.
Darwish stressed the importance of coordination among the fund’s work teams in achieving the high level of efficiency that made this accomplishment possible. He added that the units will be handed over to the beneficiaries in accordance with the governing regulations and specified timelines, contributing to maximizing the benefits of these projects and directly supporting economic and social stability.
