Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Development Authority, announced that work is underway on the implementation of 55,000 housing units as part of the sixth phase of the presidential initiative Housing for All Egyptians. These units are planned to be handed over to citizens by the end of the current year.
Abdel-Maqsoud pointed out that the cost of implementing the units in this phase has exceeded EGP 32 billion, in addition to utility projects costing more than EGP 12 billion. This reflects the scale of the significant investments directed to support the housing sector in the city.

The Head of the Authority stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of work on utilities and infrastructure, including roads and electricity, to ensure adherence to the set timeline for unit delivery. This is being achieved through continuous on-site follow-ups and effective coordination with the contracting companies and supervisory bodies to guarantee both quality and speedy completion.
These efforts come within the framework of the Ministry of Housing’s vision to improve living standards and develop modern, fully serviced urban communities, contributing to the achievement of sustainable urban development goals in the new cities.
