Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny held a meeting to follow up on the work of the Real Estate Market Regulation Unit and the Property Export Unit, attended by officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority. During the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of the property export file and market regulation, stressing the need for coordination to achieve tangible results that meet the needs of Egyptians abroad and attract foreign investors in line with the state’s strategic direction.
The Minister of Housing explained that coordination is currently taking place with the Ministry of Communications to activate the Unified National Property ID system. This initiative will work alongside the “Egypt Real Estate Platform” and the “Property Export Platform” to achieve the desired objectives. He also pointed to the need for a mechanism to regulate the work of real estate marketers by setting qualification standards. Licenses will be issued to marketers who meet these standards, thereby strengthening the role of the Real Estate Market Regulation Unit in overseeing procedures and monitoring demand.
During the meeting, the Minister instructed the development of a framework for managing real estate marketing companies within the Market Regulation Unit, with clear performance targets to ensure the unit becomes fully operational and engages effectively with developers. He also discussed incentive packages through the Property Export Unit for both Egyptian and foreign investors. The minister highlighted the importance of translating the Property Export Platform into multiple languages and ensuring its integration with the Egypt Real Estate Platform, emphasizing the need for coordination with the relevant ministries.
