Yesterday evening, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with Hassan Ghanem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing and Development Bank, and several bank officials. The meeting aimed to discuss work files and various aspects of cooperation between the ministry and the bank in the presence of officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny welcomed the officials from the Housing and Development Bank and commended the bank’s role as a key partner in the success of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities in several areas.
During the meeting, the Minister of Housing outlined the ministry’s vision regarding upcoming housing unit offerings and emphasized the importance of thorough preparation, as the bank should be responsible for launching housing projects owned by the ministry. He stressed the need to avoid past challenges hindering the booking process and explored the best approaches to enhance public trust in the ministry’s housing offerings.
Hassan Ghanem praised the Ministry of Housing’s plan to offer 400,000 housing units and presented the bank’s development plans to meet the needs of the New Urban Communities Authority. He also discussed the necessary preparations for large-scale housing projects, including upgrading bank branches, the call center, and payment methods.
After the meeting, it was agreed that coordination meetings between the ministry and the bank would continue to ensure that citizens’ needs are met effectively.
