The New Cairo City Authority continues its daily campaigns to remove violations and encroachments throughout the Eid al-Adha holiday, in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Housing and Utilities. Eng. Abdel-Raouf El-Ghiti, Chairman of the Authority, stressed the importance of zero tolerance toward any infractions that affect the city’s urban character. Under the supervision of Eng. Sayed Amin, campaigns were carried out in the Al-Banfsaj district to remove building violations, including the closure and sealing of residential units illegally converted into commercial and administrative premises, in addition to removing violations in other neighborhoods.
El-Ghiti confirmed that in the Third Settlement, under the supervision of Eng. Tamer Gaber, campaigns targeted violations in Andalus 1 and 2 neighborhoods, where unauthorized rooftop rooms were demolished. An unlicensed structure was removed in the Al-Narges Extension, and an additional unauthorized floor was taken down in Gardinia. In the industrial zone, an illegal canopy and rear gate were removed, along with unlawful signage. In the Eastern Extension area, violations were cleared in the Tamar Hana and Beit Al-Watan neighborhoods.
In the Fifth Settlement, supervised by Dr. Riham Hassan, illegal rooftop rooms on several land plots were dismantled. The Chairman reiterated that campaigns will continue across all districts, with immediate legal action taken against offenders, noting that work teams operate around the clock to preserve the civilized character of the new cities.
