Eng. Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Development Authority, followed up with the authority’s officials on plans to accelerate the pace of work on service projects in the city. He explained that 27 service buildings are currently being constructed in the West of the Airport area, including schools, commercial markets, nurseries, health units, as well as a club and a youth center, with a total cost of around one billion Egyptian pounds. These efforts aim to meet residents’ needs and enhance essential services in the city.
This comes in response to the directives of Eng. Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, emphasized the need to intensify efforts in implementing service projects in new urban communities, adhering to the highest standards of quality and urban planning to ensure a well-integrated living environment for residents.
The Head of the New October City Authority pointed out that the West of Airport area is divided into three sectors (A, B, and C), with a total area of 2,800 feddans, where 90,000 housing units have been completed or are currently under construction.
Eng. Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud announced the construction of an ambulance station in the West of Airport area, which will contribute to improving emergency response times and strengthening medical services as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.”
In addition, Eng. Mahmoud Murad, Deputy Head of the City Authority, inspected the progress of service projects, including the social club project in Sector (A) of the West of Athe airport area, which has reached 88% completion and is expected to be finalized by the end of July. The club will include various sports and social activities.
He also inspected the construction of two new schools for primary and secondary education, in preparation for their operation at the start of the upcoming academic year.
