Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to discuss available investment opportunities in several vacant land plots located along the Nile Corniche. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny; Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil; and a group of relevant senior officials.
Madbouly began the meeting by emphasizing that the government seeks to make optimal use of the state’s unused assets through efficient management, while strengthening cooperation with the private sector to generate added value for the national economy. He stressed the importance of accelerating the surveying and evaluation processes for these lands in order to prepare them as viable investment opportunities for offering.
Cabinet Spokesperson Counselor Mohamed El-Homsany stated that the meeting reviewed the preliminary results of the survey conducted by Cairo Governorate regarding lands overlooking the Nile Corniche in several areas, including El-Sahel, Rod El-Farag, Bulaq Abu El-Ela, West Cairo, Dar El-Salam, El-Maasara, Helwan, and El-Tabbin. The discussions also focused on accurately identifying the ownership and sizes of these lands.
For his part, the Cairo Governor explained that there is full coordination between the governing authorities, local units, and state property departments within the governorate as part of the State Asset Governance Project, which aims to ensure the optimal use of unused lands and maximize resources.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the execution of a comprehensive and precise inventory of all lands under study, along with the development of a clear and integrated action plan to achieve maximum benefit from them, contributing to the advancement of national development plans.
