Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the completion of relocating overhead power lines outside the boundaries of plots in the Beit Al-Watan area, located in North Rehab, south of Suez Road, New Cairo. The removal of these obstacles has now made the land ready for handover.
The Beit Al-Watan project, designed for Egyptian expatriates, offers plots and residential units in new cities. Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating property ownership for Egyptians abroad, strengthening their connection to their homeland. He also stressed the importance of addressing any challenges in implementing the project and ensuring regular follow-ups on progress.

Engineer Abdelraouf El-Ghitty, Head of the New Cairo Development Authority, confirmed that the relocation of all high-voltage power lines (220 kV and 66 kV) from the North Rehab plots has been completed. The power lines were converted into underground cables outside the investment plot boundaries, and all overhead towers have been removed.
El-Ghitty urged landowners in the area to expedite their handover procedures and begin construction on their plots.
