Authorities Crack Down on Illegal Constructions in Sheikh Zayed and 6th of October Cities
Engineer Marwa Hussein, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City Authority, announced the removal and halting of several illegal construction activities across various neighborhoods in the city. These actions include the removal of an unauthorized additional floor on Plot No. 56 in District 10, Neighborhood 3, and the demolition of unauthorized roof structures on Plot No. 50 in District 8, Neighborhood 4. Similar actions were taken at several other locations, including Plot No. 109 in District 16, Neighborhood 2, and Plot No. 116 in District 11, Neighborhood 1.
She further stated that unauthorized side closures were also removed on Plot No. 89 in District 11, Neighborhood 1, and illegal roof structures were dismantled on Plot No. 57 in District 16, Neighborhood 2. Legal measures were taken for all violations, and the equipment and construction materials were confiscated and stored by the city authority.
These efforts are part of a broader campaign to intensify inspections across all neighborhoods of Sheikh Zayed City, aiming to maintain the city’s aesthetic and curb the spread of violations. The operations are being overseen by the Deputy Head of the Development Authority, along with the heads of security, development, and demolition.
In related news, Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the 6th of October City Development Authority, emphasized the ongoing monitoring and immediate removal of any violations. Recent campaigns led by the authority resulted in the stoppage and immediate removal of unauthorized expansions on Plot No. 9, Block 15/4, Neighborhood 2, West Somid, and similar actions were taken at Plot No. 1742 in District 2, Neighborhood 7. Additionally, nine “tuk-tuks” and two food carts were confiscated during these operations.
