Assistant Minister of Housing Abdel Khalek Ibrahim confirmed during the “Oman–Egypt… Land of Opportunities” conference that the government is studying the establishment of a joint real estate investment portfolio with the Sultanate of Oman to attract investments and strengthen economic cooperation.
He also pointed out that a comprehensive plan is being prepared to develop Historic Cairo, preserving its architectural character and reviving its cultural and heritage value as part of ongoing urban development strategies.

He added that the ministry aims to pursue strategic partnerships for the management and operation of major projects in the New Administrative Capital and New Alamein City, in order to enhance professional governance and improve the operation of smart cities.
