Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the completion of public lotteries No. 11 and 12, during which plots of land were allocated to citizens who had paid the required down payments for the areas where they regularized their status in the previously known Qadisiya and Amal areas in New Obour City.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny confirmed that this step comes as part of the ongoing efforts to settle the status of citizens and entities located on lands annexed to several new cities. It also aims to ensure proper land use planning in these areas with the goal of creating integrated urban communities.
Dr. Ahmed Ismail, Head of the New Obour City Authority, announced that the events of lotteries No. 11 and 12 were held to allocate residential plots ranging from 209 m² to 500 m², in the presence of senior officials from the Authority and a representative from the State Council. He emphasized that this step followed a thorough review of the beneficiaries’ data to ensure a fair distribution and forms part of the state’s efforts to provide opportunities for land ownership and improve the quality of life for citizens.
The Authority confirmed the continuation of infrastructure projects such as water, sewage, electricity, and roads to ensure the lands are ready for immediate handover, with a strong focus on meeting citizens’ aspirations. The lotteries witnessed a large turnout of citizens who attended the public draw and received their allocation notifications. Officials from the New Urban Communities Authority also listened to citizens’ inquiries, confirming their ongoing support, facilitation of procedures, and acceleration of housing and infrastructure project implementation.
