Minister of Housing, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, announced that 650 land plots have been allocated to citizens who have settled their legal status in the Al Rabya area in Shorouk City. This allocation took place during the seventh public lottery draw, and he emphasized that this step is aimed at accelerating the regularization process for landholders and increasing development rates in new cities.
On his part, Eng. Bassam Mohamed Fadl, Head of the Shorouk City Authority, stated that the lottery was conducted in the presence of a number of officials to allocate plots to clients according to the approved plans.
He added that the draw was conducted on the date previously announced in the official newspapers and was limited to applicants who had paid the required down payments for the plots whose status had been approved. The allocations covered 650 vacant land plots in the Al Rabya area, including:

281 plots with an area of 209 square meters,

201 plots with an area of 276 square meters,

91 plots with an area of 400 square meters, and

77 plots with an area of 500 square meters.
He further explained that citizens were received starting from 10:00 AM to register their attendance, and the doors were closed at 12:00 PM to begin the public draw. Attendance was allowed upon presenting a valid ID and the original payment receipt. The Head of the Authority noted that additional names and the schedule for upcoming draws—intended to allocate the remaining applicants—will be announced progressively.
