  • Progress is underway to enhance the water and wastewater systems, focusing on sustainability and readiness for climate changes, population growth, and new communities.

Housing Projects

  • Construction of 222 buildings under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, providing 5,328 units with sizes ranging from 90 m² to 120 m².
  • Completion of 24 buildings (576 units) under the “Janna” project.
  • Progress on 19 buildings (456 units) in the “Sakan Misr” project near the Exhibitions Land in the Third Settlement.

Achievements in Sanitation, Water, and Irrigation

Eng. Abdelraouf El-Ghaity, Head of New Cairo Development Authority, reported:

  • Completion of 10 projects covering 75 km of water, irrigation, and wastewater networks.
  • 54 additional projects underway, spanning 750 km of main and secondary pipelines.
  • Key projects include wastewater pumping stations (Nos. 2, 4, and 12) and associated pipelines in areas like Beit Al-Watan and the Third Settlement.

Advanced Monitoring and Control Systems

  • Implementation of the SCADA system for centralized monitoring of six wastewater pumping stations, ensuring operational efficiency for pumps, valves, and pressure flow measurements.
  • Completion of upgrades to investor extension stations, South Investors Station, and facilities in the industrial zone, including the 80,000 m³/day treatment plant.

Technology Integration

  • Introduction of 60 tablet devices for field inspections to record violations and updates directly into a digital system. This innovation enhances efficiency by linking land inspections to geographic coordinates, reducing errors, and streamlining administrative processes.
