The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, announced new payment facilitation measures that include a 70% waiver on late payment penalties for those who settle their full outstanding dues. These measures apply to residential, professional, and administrative units and will be available for a limited period of three months, from June 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025.
Eng. Hesham Darwish, Advisor to the Ministry, confirmed that this initiative is in response to public demands and aims to improve financial conditions and support economic stability.
Darwish explained that the facilitations cover residential units, professional spaces, administrative offices, commercial stores, and villas, including those involved in ongoing legal disputes or those that have received preliminary rulings or are under appeal. However, beneficiaries must pay the full outstanding unit price in cash, in addition to settling all judicial, administrative, and any other related fees.
He added that these facilitations do not apply in cases where the client has filed a legal case against the Housing Finance Fund, unless all lawsuits are fully withdrawn. Furthermore, the measures do not apply to units, villas, or commercial stores that have received cancellation decisions or final enforceable court rulings, in which case the Fund’s real estate regulations and the decisions of its Board of Directors will be enforced.
