The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities is accelerating the construction of 65,000 housing units in New October City under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”. The ministry is pushing forward to ensure timely delivery to eligible beneficiaries.
Minister of Housing Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny has instructed stakeholders to expedite work on these projects while adhering to the ministry’s delivery schedule. The directive came during his inspection of ongoing projects in New October City, including the fifth phase of the initiative, which involves the construction of 10,608 housing units. To date, 6,600 units have been completed, with the remaining 4,008 nearing completion.

Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of simultaneously implementing service projects alongside housing construction. He also called for continuous site coordination and landscaping efforts in areas where buildings and infrastructure are completed, ensuring units are delivered to beneficiaries with full amenities.
Roads and Landscaping
Eng. Mohamed Abdel-Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Authority, reported ongoing efforts to coordinate site landscaping and pave roads surrounding the projects within the fifth phase. Additionally, progress is being made in the sixth phase, which includes 55,000 housing units in the West Airport area.
Deputy Head of the City Authority Eng. Mahmoud Murad conducted field visits to inspect finishing works, road paving, and landscaping efforts, as well as the progress of service buildings. He urged contractors to adhere to approved engineering standards and accelerate the completion of remaining tasks in line with the project timeline.
