2.8 Million Reconciliation Requests for Building Violations, Including 500,000 Recently

Dr. Khaled Qassem, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Local Development, stated that the extension of the reconciliation deadline for an additional six months, starting from May 5, 2025, marks the third extension and offers an opportunity to regularize the status of building violations. This move aims to ease the process for citizens and takes into account the social dimension of the issue.

2.8 Million Reconciliation Requests for Building Violations, Including 500,000 in the Recent Period

In a phone interview with TV host Lobna Assal on the program “Al-Hayah Al-Youm” broadcast on Al-Hayah Channel, Qassem noted that approximately 2.8 million requests for reconciliation on building violations have been received over the past period.

Qassem also added that the current number of reconciliation requests for building violations stands at 500,000, indicating a growing interest from citizens in this procedure.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Local Development confirmed that Dr. Manal Awad, the Minister of Local Development, has instructed the implementation of door-to-door campaigns to encourage violators to submit reconciliation requests for building violations.
