In previous announcements, the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities had included the cities of Al-Shorouk, Al-Obour, and Badr in social housing initiatives for low- and middle-income citizens. These cities, located near the New Administrative Capital, were popular due to their prime geographical location and the variety of housing options they offered.
However, according to the ministry’s latest announcement, the 2024 Social Housing scheme will not include available units in Al-Shorouk, Al-Obour, or Badr. This marks a departure from past programs, which had featured numerous social, middle-income, and premium housing units in these cities.
