Engineer Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Development Authority, held a meeting to follow up on the Green Housing Project, attended by representatives of the contracting companies and consultants. This comes in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Housing regarding the need for on-site monitoring of national projects.
Abdel Maqsoud explained that 599 residential buildings comprising 14,376 housing units are being constructed under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, as part of the state’s sustainable housing plan. The meeting discussed execution rates, challenges facing work teams, and mechanisms to overcome them and ensure adherence to project timelines.
During the meeting, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud emphasized the importance of accelerating construction rates while fully adhering to quality standards and environmental requirements related to the Green Housing Initiative, which aims to improve the quality of life and provide a healthy and safe environment for citizens.
The Head of the Authority also stressed the need for continuous coordination between the executing companies and consultants, along with precise on-site monitoring to ensure efficient workflow and achieve project objectives within the specified deadlines.
