Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Hani Sweilem, as well as Major General Magdy Anwar, Director of the Armed Forces’ National Service Projects Organization, Major General Khaled Ahmed Abdullah, Head of the Armed Forces’ Financial Affairs Authority, and Major General Walid Mohamed Aref, Head of the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority.

During the meeting, Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy explained that the discussions focused on reviewing the overall water situation across the country, including assessing water needs and the availability of resources to meet the requirements of agricultural projects and drinking water supplies. Updates were also presented on several ongoing projects, particularly those related to strengthening water infrastructure.
In addition, the meeting reviewed progress on the “New Delta Project” and the latest developments in collecting agricultural drainage water and transferring it to the project’s treatment plant. The aim of this initiative is to provide clean and safe water to support agricultural investment in the area.
