The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has published an infographic outlining the mechanism for receiving applications from eligible tenants to obtain alternative housing units in accordance with approved rules and conditions. Applications will be open starting October 1, 2025, and will continue for three months. Requests can be submitted either through the unified electronic platform or at post offices across the country.
The Ministry confirmed that this step comes within the framework of implementing Article Eight of the law, which regulates the relationship between landlords and tenants, along with certain provisions related to property rental laws.
The application process requires creating an electronic account on the platform to facilitate tracking the request and completing documents when needed. Applicants must enter the required information according to the electronic form provided. Applications can also be submitted via post offices located nationwide.

Regarding the targeted categories, the Ministry explained that the application form allows tenants to choose among different housing units. Submission is limited to:
-
The original tenant who signed the rental contract with the landlord or lessor from the start.
-
The spouse to whom the contract was extended before the application of the current law.
-
Tenants whose rental contracts have been officially extended.
