President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has once again reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast commitment to supporting the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan. He emphasized Egypt’s full backing of all initiatives aimed at promoting security and stability in Sudan and alleviating the humanitarian suffering endured by the Sudanese people in a way that safeguards their national resources.
This came during President El-Sisi’s meeting on Thursday with Kamal Idris, the Prime Minister of Sudan’s Transitional Government. The meeting was attended by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and members of both delegations from Egypt and Sudan.
Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy stated that the meeting focused on the strategic relations between Egypt and Sudan and ways to enhance them across various fields. Discussions also addressed the means to restore stability in Sudan and achieve the development and prosperity both nations aspire to.
El-Shenawy added that the dialogue covered ongoing efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis and support the restoration of security in the country. The talks also explored areas of cooperation between the two nations regarding the reconstruction process in Sudan.
The meeting further included an exchange of views on current regional developments, with both sides emphasizing the importance of maintaining continuous coordination and consultation on all issues of mutual concern to ensure the highest interests of both peoples.
