President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting yesterday with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Vice Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Transport and Industry, General Kamel El-Wazir, and Presidential Advisor for Financial Affairs, General Ahmed El-Shazly.
Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the President was briefed during the meeting on the progress of key projects by the Ministry of Transport and Industry, especially railway developments such as the Arish–Taba railway line and the completion of the Bir El-Abd–Arish railway. These lines aim to promote the development of the Sinai Peninsula and establish a logistical corridor linking the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea.
The official spokesman further explained that the meeting also covered updates on the development of seaports due to their significant role in the country’s development programs. The discussion included progress in constructing, upgrading, and enhancing the efficiency of various ports, including Ras Sudr Seaport, Gargoub Port, Abu Qir Seaport, the Grand Port of Alexandria, the new Al-Max Port, and the continued development of Ain Sokhna Port.
