President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call today with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic stated that during the call, President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s firm rejection of the Israeli escalation against Iran, stressing that such actions pose a threat to the security and stability of the Middle East, especially at this sensitive time when the region is witnessing multiple and escalating crises.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the presidential spokesperson, added that the President emphasized the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire to pave the way for resuming negotiations aimed at reaching a sustainable and peaceful resolution to the current crisis. He also stressed the importance of de-escalation and ensuring that the cycle of violence does not widen, affirming that there is no military solution to this crisis.
The spokesperson further noted that President El-Sisi reiterated that lasting stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on internationally recognized legitimacy.
The spokesperson also mentioned that the Iranian President expressed his gratitude to President El-Sisi, praising Egypt’s wise and balanced positions aimed at restoring stability in the Middle East and contributing to the protection of all lives. He confirmed his country’s alignment with Egypt’s stance on the urgent need for a just, comprehensive, and final resolution to the Palestinian issue.
