Housing Minister Inaugurates Builders of Egypt Forum with High-Level International Participation

Under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny officially inaugurated the “Builders of Egypt” Forum today, June 22. The event, which features broad international participation, brings together delegations from Arab, African, and Islamic countries, as well as development partners. The 10th edition of the forum is organized by the Ministry of Housing in collaboration with the African Union of Construction Contractors’ Organizations and Excellent Communications Company. The forum aims to shape the future of coastal cities and exchange experiences in sustainable urban planning. It also sees participation from international organizations such as UN bodies and ambassadors from countries like China, India, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea.

The 10th edition of “Builders of Egypt” welcomes numerous delegations representing major business organizations across the Arab, African, and Islamic world. These include the Arab Contractors Union, the Union of Contractors from Islamic Countries, and contractor federations from Kuwait, Turkey, Iraq, and Lebanon. Additionally, Libya’s Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency and Algeria’s National Organization of Employers and Contractors are taking part.

This year’s edition of “Builders of Egypt” serves as an international platform to strengthen strategic partnerships in infrastructure, real estate development, and energy sectors, with a special focus on sustainable coastal city development. The event features ministerial sessions showcasing Egypt’s experience in coastal urban development under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, including the development of New Alamein City. The forum’s objectives align with the strategic sustainable development plans of African, Arab, and Islamic nations, many of which are exploring the potential of their coastlines to establish new tourism-driven cities. These initiatives not only enhance economic growth prospects but also open up valuable investment opportunities for Egyptian companies abroad.
