President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has issued Republican Decree No. 272 of 2025, which stipulates the allocation of land owned by the state as private property in the governorates of Aswan and Minya. These lands will be used for the establishment of several villages in the desert hinterland.
The villages to be established include:

New Wadi Al-Arab Village

New Al-Salam Al-Allaqi Village

New Ibrim Village in Aswan
In addition, the decision includes:
