Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that starting tomorrow, Sunday, June 1, 2025, new financial settlement facilities will be implemented. These include a 70% exemption on late payment penalties upon full payment of outstanding dues. The facilities apply to residential, professional, administrative units, commercial shops, and villas affiliated with the Housing Finance Fund. This initiative will last for three months, ending on August 31, 2025. The minister affirmed that these facilities reflect a clear strategic vision by the state to drive development forward and align with the directives of the political leadership to ease burdens on citizens.
For his part, Engineer Hesham Darwish, Advisor to the Ministry and Supervisor of the Construction and Contracting Sector and Chairman of the Housing Finance Fund, stated that these facilities respond to citizens’ requests for more lenient measures concerning the fund’s financial dues. This initiative provides clients the opportunity to regularize their status through clear and specific executive regulations designed to ensure the success of the process and to strengthen economic stability.
Engineer Hesham Darwish explained that the facilities apply to residential, professional, administrative, commercial units, and villas involved in legal disputes, provided that full payment of the property price and related legal and administrative fees is made in cash. He confirmed that the facilities do not apply in cases where a lawsuit has been filed by the client against the fund unless the lawsuit is withdrawn. Additionally, they do not apply to units, villas, or shops that are subject to cancellation decisions or final court rulings.
