Housing Minister and Sharqia Governor Conclude Tour by Inspecting Al-Aziziyah Water Purification Plant in Minya Al-Qamh

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, and Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharqia, concluded their inspection tour of drinking water and sanitation projects in Belbeis and Minya Al-Qamh by visiting the Al-Aziziyah Drinking Water Purification Plant in Minya Al-Qamh. They were accompanied by several officials, including the Deputy Governor, the Secretary General of the Governorate, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Housing and the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation.

The Minister of Housing and the Governor of Sharqia toured the water plant to learn about its components. They listened to a briefing about the plant, which operates with a capacity of 8,640 m³/day. The plant comprises several elements, such as the intake, raw and filtered water pumps, a distribution channel, filter and backwash chambers, a ground reservoir, as well as chlorine units and storage facilities. The plant’s service area includes the village of Al-Aziziyah.

The Governor of Sharqia emphasized that the service and development projects in the drinking water and sanitation sectors, implemented under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, are unprecedented and have significantly improved the lives of citizens.
