Proposed Regulatory Bylaws for the General Authority for Tourism Development

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, held a meeting with Dr. Mostafa Mounir, CEO of the General Authority for Tourism Development, to discuss the proposed regulatory bylaws for the Authority.

During the meeting, El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of improving performance and preparing the bylaws to enhance the Authority’s role in supporting tourism investment. He also referred to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives regarding the optimal utilization of resources and the facilitation of procedures for investors.

Proposed Regulatory Bylaws for the General Authority for Tourism Development

Dr. Mostafa Mounir presented the details of the proposed regulatory bylaws during the meeting, which include the announcement of tourism investment opportunities, land allocation criteria, as well as allocation procedures and rules for land disposition. The discussion also covered the newly proposed measures aimed at increasing incentives for tourism development and investment companies, along with regulations for handling non-compliant companies.

After the meeting, the Minister of Housing stressed the importance of providing appropriate incentives to accelerate the completion of hotel units to accommodate the growing number of tourists.
