Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that 209 new residential buildings are being constructed in New Borg El Arab as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” Additionally, road development and maintenance projects are underway to enhance connectivity between neighborhoods and squares in the town.
The minister also emphasized the importance of expediting the completion of drinking water and sanitation projects implemented by the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Monufia Governorate. Meanwhile, Engineer Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, highlighted during the meeting the ongoing efforts to achieve the highest levels of operational efficiency across all drinking water and sanitation companies nationwide. He also stressed the importance of strengthening infrastructure according to the latest global standards to ensure the sustainability and improvement of services, focusing on innovative solutions and effective investments in the vital utilities sector.
Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Monufia, presented an overview of the execution status of various projects and activities undertaken during the current fiscal year. He noted that sanitation projects worth EGP 700 million have been implemented with funding from the World Bank.
