Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, announced the timeline for reviewing citizen applications submitted under the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” initiative.
According to Abdel Hamid, the document review process will commence immediately after the registration period closes and applicants upload their documents via the fund’s online portal. The registration officially ends on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Abdel Hamid emphasized that purchasing the conditions booklet and paying the reservation deposit alone does not qualify citizens for a housing unit. Uploading the required documents specified in the conditions booklet on the fund’s website is a mandatory step for eligibility.
She highlighted the initiative’s significant engagement:
- 762,479 conditions booklets sold.
- 586,000 citizens paid reservation deposits.
- 546,000 citizens completed their online registrations.
To support applicants facing technical issues, the fund has established an online ticketing platform accessible via this link. The platform has processed approximately 20,000 complaints, resolving 18,000 to date, with ongoing efforts to address the remaining issues promptly.
