The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), part of the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, has highlighted the top three frequently asked questions about the newly available housing units for 2024. This release includes 6,575 ready-to-move-in units across 15 cities under various projects: Sakan Misr, Dar Misr, Jannah, and Distinguished Housing.
According to the “Maskan – Unit Axis” platform, the reservation period for these units started on October 27 and will remain open until December 26, 2024. Here are the most common inquiries from applicants, as outlined by NUCA:
- Can applicants change or cancel their reservation request during the booking period?
- Yes, applicants can modify their preferences or withdraw their reservation request during the booking period, but only if the initial deposit has not yet been paid.
- Is it possible for a family to reserve more than one housing unit?
- No, families (defined as husband and wife) are restricted from booking more than one unit.
- When can the initial deposit be refunded?
- Applicants can request a refund after the reservation period ends, once all applications have been reviewed. Refunds will be issued back to the same account from which the initial deposit was paid.
This initiative by NUCA aims to streamline the housing unit reservation process and address applicants’ questions clearly, making the application journey as transparent and efficient as possible.
