Egypt and Zambia Sign MoU to Strengthen Housing and Urban Development Collaboration

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Charles Milupi, Zambia’s Minister of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Zambia’s Ministry of Housing and Egypt’s Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund. The signing took place during the third day of the World Urban Forum, underscoring a mutual commitment to fostering deeper collaboration in urban development.

Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized that this MoU is a practical step towards expanding cooperation between Egypt and Zambia, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directive to strengthen Egypt’s ties with African nations. The agreement serves as a platform for Egyptian construction companies to enter the Zambian market and contribute to infrastructure projects across the continent.
