Officials from the Social Housing Fund launched an extensive campaign to detect and address violations in social housing units, in cooperation with the Urban Development Police in Badr City and the city’s administrative authority.
The campaign included field inspections in District 7 (Al-Andalus) and the 222-buildings area in the city center. Teams inspected more than 29 buildings to identify cases of selling or renting out units, changing their designated purpose, and verifying the identities of residents living in social housing units in these locations.

Fund officials emphasized that the state invests billions of pounds to support social housing projects, and strict monitoring is essential to ensure that only rightful beneficiaries receive the units. They stressed that trading subsidized units, renting them out, or altering their intended use is strictly prohibited, especially since all beneficiaries have signed declarations pledging not to dispose of the units or change their purpose in any way.
The campaign resulted in issuing violation reports and delivering warnings to several units, with legal procedures continuing against all violators.
